  • Our consultations are imperative to coming up with a removal plan tailored just for you. Always free, our team will assess the tattoo, talk to you about your goals and timelines, and figure out your skin type. This will allow us to come up with a realistic removal journey, form a timeline, number of sessions and pricing - this is where we figure it all out.

  • Laser tattoo removal is the safest and most effective way to get rid of that unwanted ink. Further West utilizes both Q-Switched Nanosecond and Picosecond lasers that as a team make an unbeatable combination for removing almost every color and ink type. Whether it’s past relationships, beliefs from another life, or you're just sick of seeing that old sketchy ink - we're a judgement free zone where all are welcome, and we got you covered. From full back pieces to micro fine line tattoos and cosmetic tattoos, we can handle it all. You must have a free consultation before booking your first removal appointment with us.

  • We're art lovers here, so we get it - you want to make room for that new tattoo. Lightening is the same process as complete removal, just in less sessions. Consultation is a must before booking your first lightening appointment.

  • This patch can be used in addition to any lightening or removal service. It is a silicone based layer placed between your skin and our laser. This allows us to treat an area up to 3 times in 1 single session, cutting down overall visits needed, while maintaining superior results.

FAQ

How long does it take?

Every tattoo is different, along with every person wearing it. Ink type, tattoo age, depth, location as well as one’s immune system all play a part. For a broad answer the typical complete removal process takes 6 - 12 sessions, spaced 8 weeks apart.

How much does it cost?

Just like with the length of time - there are many variables, from size of the tattoo to the location of the ink. Further West Tattoo Removal offers package deals to keep prices low, and guarantee to beat any reputable competitor using the same technology’s price. On average our picosecond laser result in 1-4 LESS sessions needed, pair that with our PFD patch for even fewer visits. But to give you an idea sessions start as low as $50 to over a few hundred for large, intricate tattoos.

Does it hurt?

Sure, it can be a little spicy. We use both numbing cream and cryo numbing solutions (all topical, no shots) to make it as easy as possible. Most folks describe it as a rubber band snap. Truth is, if you can handle getting it put on, you can definitely hand it coming off. Unlike a tattoo, the average session length is only a couple minutes, so it’s SUPER QUICK and over before you know it.

Are you licensed to operate that thing?

Of course. Our technicians are all Certified Laser Specialists through the state of Texas, with oversight from our medical director who has had his family practice in TX for over 20 years.

What is involved in aftercare?

Proper aftercare in between sessions is crucial. While we will go over it with you thoroughly during your consultation, it comes down to keeping the area clean, dry and out of the sun. See below for complete instructions.

Wait, that means it’ll take over a year!?

Correct. Proper tattoo removal takes time, even with the best technology, and anyone who tells you differently isn’t being truthful. Here’s the thing - you want that tattoo gone, and you’re still going to feel that way a year from now. This is how we got our motto “Decide Your Own Future” Let us help you reach your goals of being comfortable in your own skin again.

Complete Aftercare Instructions

Mild swelling, redness, and tenderness (like a sunburn) is normal for up to 7 days post-treatment, but these simple steps will jump start the healing process as soon as you leave the clinic.

Keep the treated area clean and dry. If area is covered with non-adherent dressing after treatment, remove before bed or maximum 6hrs. Wash with non-scented antibacterial soap using your fingers, rinse with cool water then pat dry. Allow to air dry for 15 minutes. Apply cocoa butter. We recommend this 3 times daily for the first week after treatment. After the first week, repeat wash routine at least once daily and apply cocoa butter 3 times throughout the day.

Avoid heat for 24hrs (including hot showers and vigorous exercise)

Avoid sun exposure to the treated area

Do not pick or scratch the treated area

We do not recommend applying petroleum based ointments to the treated area (Aquaphor, A&D Ointment, etc.) Instead, if not allergic, use cocoa butter.

Hydrate. Drink lots of water to help flush your lymphatic system

Contact us immediately if you get blisters larger than the size of a dime or swelling/pain persists for more than 7 days.

  • Small water blisters are common and can appear over the treated area within 72 hours of treatment. If blisters appear during the healing process, keep the area clean and dry. Cover any blisters with a non-adherent dressing until they dry up to avoid tearing or ripping them open. Medical grade Manuka Honey can be applied to reduce inflammation and protect the skin

  • After treatment, the skin may feel a bit raw and develop scabs. If scabs form, keep the area clean and dry. Moisturizing the area with high quality lotion will help the scabs heal and reduce the risk of scar tissue formation.

  • Individuals with darker skin types (Fitzpatrick types IV-VI) might notice minor changes in skin tone in around the treated area, such as Hypopigmentation (lightening) or Hyperpigmentation (darkening) Typically, these changes fade over time, and there are topical creams that can assist in restoring the skin’s original color.
